CREDIT LIST

It will often happen that more tickets are requested than the Supporters Club is allocated by Arsenal. To ensure a fair distribution of ticket requests in such cases, we will be using a credit list. Because we are just starting the Supporters Club, this means everyone starts with a clean slate and has an equal chance. It also means that the credits will be virtually the same for everyone initially. If there are more requests than tickets (and this will often happen), the board will notify those involved and a draw will be held.

The basis of the credit system is actually simple: the longer and more actively you participate in the association and its activities, the more points you earn. So how exactly does this work?

1. Paying the annual fee earns you 100 credit points.

2. Each year you've been a member before earns you 10 extra points. This is capped at 100 points (10 years of membership). After four years of membership, you'll start your fifth year, after paying your dues, with 40 extra points.

3. Furthermore, attendance at events and the annual general meeting is rewarded with credit points. Events are generally worth 10 points, while attendance at the official general meeting earns 20 points.

4. When you are awarded a ticket, it costs points. The number of points depends on the match category (determined by Arsenal). A match in Category C costs 30 points, a Category B match costs 50 points, and a Category A match costs 70 points. Tickets for Arsenal Women cost 20 points. This way, members who have recently secured a ticket are lowered, and everyone else has a better chance.

5. After a season, all credits are halved to even out the odds, without loyal members losing their relative standing. This means you carry over half of your accumulated credits to the new season.

6. Anyone who does not renew their membership before the end of the (re)registration period, usually from June 1 to August 1, will lose all credits and will start again at 0 (or actually 100) when they register again.

7. Important! If you are assigned a ticket and you can't or don't want to use it, you will lose all your credits. If we can't sell the ticket to another member, you are also obligated to pay for it.

An example: Dennis Kampberg becomes a member and pays membership fees. This earns him 100 credits. He attends two viewing events (2 x 10 points) and the annual general meeting (20 points), thus accumulating 140 credits. At the end of the season, these credits are halved, so he starts the new season after paying, with 70 (half of the previous season's total) + 100 (new membership fee) + 10 (already a year's member) = 180 points. In the second season, he receives tickets for Arsenal vs. Manchester United (a Category A match, 70 points) through the club, thus increasing his total credits from 180 to 110.

RESELLING TICKETS TO THIRD PARTIES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED (BY ARSENAL AND THE SUPPORTERS' ASSOCIATION). IF THIS DOES OCCUR, THE MEMBER IN QUESTION WILL BE EXPELLED IMMEDIATELY, AND WE WILL REPORT THEIR PERSONAL DATA TO ARSENAL!
